Our Mission
At Smith Wellness, our mission is to love and serve our patients and community with outstanding chiropractic care and a truly personal connection. Dr. Jonathan Smith is a veteran and has experienced significant physical pain and dysfunction in his life, which makes him highly relatable to our patients.
MEET DR. JONATHAN SMITH
Our History
Since earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 2006, Dr. Smith has continued to expand his experience and knowledge base to better serve our patients of all ages and physical conditions. He has been clinical director of two clinics, as well as owning his own clinic in the Washington D.C. area, before coming to Las Cruces in 2018.
Dr. Smith’s past chiropractic experiences include being a chiropractor for the Washington NFL Cheerleaders; the 2007 National Bench Press and Powerlifting Championship competitors; the 2008 USA Judo Championship and Olympic Qualifier; the 4th-ranked figure skater in the U.S. from 2009-2012; and an MMA fight doctor in 2009.
Dr. Smith has delivered lectures to numerous medical professionals, Team in Training, Avon Breast Cancer Walk, and the U.S. Justice Department. His specialties include sports injuries and medicine, soft tissue injuries, and functional rehabilitation.
With a strong understanding of personal injury, workers’ compensation and auto injury cases, as well as cases of chronic and acute pain, Dr. Smith built upon his experience and knowledge to become certified in the following:

- Selective Functional Movement Assessment
- Functional Movement Screens
Our Approach
Dr. Smith’s broad clinical and speaking experience gives him an advantage, not only in the diagnosis of complex problems, but also in communicating effectively with patients and their other medical providers. He has the clinical knowledge, skill, and passion to make a strong, positive impact not only in the lives of his patients, but also in our wonderful community.
